Groups Generated by Wave-duct Acoustics with Impedance Boundary Conditions
نویسنده
چکیده
Source-free wave-duct acoustics formulated as an initial value problem for the wave equation with impedance boundary conditions is considered. Properties of the corresponding C0-groups and their generators are given by emphasizing the spectral representation of these operators. An Orthogonality Relation for a Class of Problems with High-order Boundary Conditions; Applications in Soundstructure Interaction
There are numerous interesting physical problems, in the "elds of elasticity, acoustics and electromagnetism etc., involving the propagation of waves in ducts or pipes. Often the problems consist of pipes or ducts with abrupt changes of material properties or geometry. For example, in car silencer design, where there is a sudden change in cross-sectional area, or when the bounding wall is lagge...
متن کاملAbsorption modeling with ensemble averaged impedance for wave-based room acoustics simulations
With the rapid progress of computers, wave-based room acoustics simulations like finite element method have come to be applicable onto many practical problems on acoustics. Generally, such methods can calculate sound fields quite accurately provided their boundary modelings are given appropriately. Although the absorption on the boundary can be modeled efficiently by using surface impedance, th...
متن کاملAcoustic impedance sensitivity analysis and design optimization using the wave based method
In a weakly coupled structural-acoustic problem, the boundary conditions may be composed by two conditions. One is a velocity boundary condition, which can be obtained from a dynamic structural analysis and the other is an acoustic impedance boundary condition. The acoustic impedance boundary condition is used for modeling acoustic absorbent behavior at boundaries proportional to the velocity d...
متن کاملA Collocation Method with Modified Equilibrium on Line Method for Imposition of Neumann and Robin Boundary Conditions in Acoustics (TECHNICAL NOTE)
A collocation method with the modified equilibrium on line method (ELM) forimposition of Neumann and Robin boundary conditions is presented for solving the two-dimensionalacoustical problems. In the modified ELM, the governing equations are integrated over the lines onthe Neumann (Robin) boundary instead of the Neumann (Robin) boundary condition equations. Inother words, integration domains are...
متن کاملExact analytical approach for free longitudinal vibration of nanorods based on nonlocal elasticity theory from wave standpoint
In this paper, free longitudinal vibration of nanorods is investigated from the wave viewpoint. The Eringen’s nonlocal elasticity theory is used for nanorods modelling. Wave propagation in a medium has a similar formulation as vibrations and thus, it can be used to describe the vibration behavior. Boundaries reflect the propagating waves after incident. Firstly, the governing quation of nanoro...
